What Data We Collect Through Matomo

• Your user identifier is automatically removed when you log out

Legal Basis for Analytics

We believe these are reasonable expectations when you use a modern web service, and the data we collect is minimal and privacy-respecting.

Where Your Analytics Data is Stored

All analytics data is stored on Matomo Cloud servers located in the European Union. Your data never leaves the EU and is not shared with any third parties. We have a Data Processing Agreement with Matomo Cloud to ensure GDPR compliance.

Data Retention for Analytics

Analytics data is automatically deleted after 13 months. This means we only keep historical analytics data for just over a year, after which it's permanently removed from our systems.

Privacy Features We Use

To protect your privacy, we have configured Matomo with the following features:

• IP addresses are anonymized (the last 2 bytes are removed) before being stored
• We do not track you across different websites (no cross-site tracking)
• We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone
• All data is stored in the EU under strict data protection laws
• We have disabled features that could compromise privacy

How to Opt-Out of Analytics

You have several options to opt-out of analytics tracking:

1. Browser Settings - Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings, which we respect
2. Cookie Settings - Disable analytics cookies through your browser settings
3. Contact Us - Email us at service@newmatik.com to request that your visits not be tracked

Please note that opting out may limit our ability to improve the website and detect technical issues that could affect your experience.

International Data Transfers

Sometimes we need to transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When we do, we make sure it's protected using approved methods like standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
