The Newmatik MCP server lets AI apps work with the customer portal on your behalf. Ask your assistant which PCBA orders ship this month, what changed on a quote, which NPI questions are waiting for you, or what a BOM contains, and answer engineering questions without leaving your AI app.
The app sees exactly what you see in the portal, with your login, and nothing else.
Server URL
https://www.newmatik.com/mcp
The server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP and signs you in with OAuth 2.1. You never paste a password or API key into the AI app.
Connect your AI app
Claude (web and desktop)
Open Settings > Connectors, choose Add custom connector, enter the name Newmatik and the URL
https://www.newmatik.com/mcp, then select Connect.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http newmatik https://www.newmatik.com/mcp
Then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose Authenticate for newmatik.
ChatGPT
Open Settings > Apps & Connectors, turn on developer mode under Advanced settings, then create a connector
with the URL https://www.newmatik.com/mcp and OAuth authentication.
Codex
codex mcp add newmatik --url https://www.newmatik.com/mcp
codex mcp login newmatik
Cursor
Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project) and select Connect in the MCP
settings:
{
"mcpServers": {
"newmatik": { "url": "https://www.newmatik.com/mcp" }
}
}
VS Code
Add the server to .vscode/mcp.json and start it from the editor:
{
"servers": {
"newmatik": { "type": "http", "url": "https://www.newmatik.com/mcp" }
}
}
Sign-in and consent
- Your AI app opens a browser window on www.newmatik.com.
- If you are not signed in to the portal, sign in as usual, including two-factor authentication.
- The consent page shows the app's name, the exact address that will receive access, your account and companies. It warns you when that address does not belong to a known AI app.
- Choose Read only or Read and write, then Allow. Deny sends the app away without access.
App names are chosen by the app itself. Only continue if you started the connection yourself.

Not available through AI apps: placing orders or accepting quotes, sending new quote requests, payments, invoice and document downloads, file sharing, and changes to your account, password, two-factor settings, users or addresses. Use the portal for those.
Safety model
- Your permissions, nothing more. Every call runs as you, against the same portal endpoints and the same customer checks as the website. The app can only reach your companies' data.
- A fixed list of actions. The server calls a short, reviewed list of portal functions. There is no general access to the ERP system.
- Short-lived tokens. Access tokens expire after an hour. A connection never lasts longer than the portal session you approved it in (currently up to 48 hours); then the app asks you to sign in again.
- Your credentials stay with Newmatik. The AI app only receives its own token for the MCP server. Your portal session is stored encrypted and is never returned to the app.
- Every change is attributed. Writes are recorded with your user and the connected app in the portal's audit trail and in the Worker logs.
Rate limits
Up to 300 requests per 5 minutes per connected app (one tool call per request) and 30 changes per hour across all your connected apps. Over the limit, the server answers with a short wait message; try again a little later.
Disconnect an app
Open Account > My profile > Connected apps (open) and select Disconnect. Signing out of the portal also ends the connections you approved in that session.
